P3 signs distribution contract with Evexar Medical Ltd
Evexar is a medical device manufacturing company focussed on the design, development, manufacture and distribution of innovative medical devices. It is a subsidiary of UCL Business PLC (UCLB) a wholly owned subsidiary of University College London (UCL). UCLB is responsible for the commercialisation of technology emanating from UCL.
The first product covered by the agreement is a fully disposable self-illuminating proctoscope. The device requires no external light-source and will cost users around the same as a conventional single-use proctoscope. The product has been incredibly well received and is available for purchase now. The high-technology light-source will provide the platform for a family of related devices to be launched later in the year.
Simon Talbot, P3’s Managing Director, said “we are extremely pleased and excited to enter this agreement with such prestigious organisations as Evexar and UCLB. Innovation is a critical success factor in today’s healthcare environment and the new products represent the best in clinician-led development. We look forward to a long and productive partnership”.
Karen Cheetham, Director of Evexar said “We are delighted to have P3 Medical as a distribution partner during this exciting phase of Evexar’s expansion in the healthcare sector. It represents an opportunity for both companies to develop and grow by adopting emerging technologies and trends emanating from the UCLB environment.
